9 Years!

Today Chris and I have been married 9 years. We have had our ups and downs over the last 9 years but have made it through everything.

Year 1 (1999-2000) - Alaska and a Masters Degree with a road trip of a life time. Alaska to Nebraska via the Alaskan Highway. Then off to Colorado to figure out what to do with our life.

Year 2 (2000-2001) - A few months living with Mom and Dad Peters, new jobs, and our first house. And we can't forget our first baby (dog) Kinja.

Year 3 (2001-2002) - Adjusting to life with a mortgage and school payments. And our first big trip with the whole Peters clan to England.

Year 4 (2002-2003) - Adjusted to married life (yes this took us a while to do). And a trip to Scotland with Mom and Dad Peters.

Year 5 (2003-2004) - A transfer of positions for Chris which made life completely different for us. Chris went from alternating working one month of days and one month of nights to having a normal work day. 7:30 to 4. And another addition to the family, another dog, Miss Ally.

Year 6 (2004-2005) - Pregnacy and if that wasn't enough a bathroom remodel.

Year 7 (2005-2006) - Birth... Parenthood... Somehow we made it through all of that.

Year 8 (2006-2007) - Time to move. Selling our house (this one almost did us in), building a new house and 2 months with mom and dad. The big move, settling in to a new house, and daycare for Cooper.

Year 9 (2007-2008) - A great year on the whole. We are settled into our new house and love life in Stapleton. We both enjoy our jobs and Cooper likes his daycare. Cooper actually started in a new room a few weeks ago and is now officially considered a preschooler. Aside from having to put Kinja to sleep two weeks ago this year has been great.
