Cooper spent 2 days and one night with Grandma and Grandpa a few weeks ago. Needless to say Cooper was a little spoiled during his stay. He started out his day with a little TV and R&R. I guess getting him up at 5:45 to be at grandma and grandpas at 6:30 was too early for him.
After some playing and pretty much doing whatever his heart desired grandma and grandpa took Coop over to the Denver Downtown Aquarium for lunch. He played was able to go play in the room full of big fish before his lunch came.
And to make things a little more exciting at lunch grandma and grandpa made sure to get a table right next to the huge fish tank.
Cooper was so busy checking out all of the fish that he forgot it was time to eat.
So grandma ended up feeding Cooper that day at lunch, while the fish were being fed by the diver. When they left the aquarium there was a bubble machine going. Cooper had a great time with all the other kids trying to catch the bubbles.
Coopers first day with grandma and grandpa was a hit. He was even spoiled while going to bed. He got to sleep in the "BIG" bed (small pull out twin sofa bed, but it is much larger then his "Cars" toddler bed).
And the next morning Cooper was delighted to find out when you wake up at grandma and grandpas and they aren't ready for the day yet you get to watch Thomas the Tank Engine in bed!
YUP! You read that correctly. TV in bed. Take a look at that photo and notice that Cooper is holding and Engine. Yes an engine. A G-gauge engine from the garden train grandma and grandpa have. I would tell you the reasoning for letting Cooper have this in bed, but it really doesn't make since to me, so I am going with, grandchildren get SPOILED by the grandparents. I called late in the morning to see how Cooper faired overnight only to get to hear the answering machine pick up. So I listened and left my "What have you done with my child!" message. And went back to work. Mom called later that afternoon to inform me that they had to go out to lunch. And not to just any place, nope, it was Cooper's favorite place to eat. The French Toast House. After Cooper's nap that afternoon he and grandma went outside on an adventure.
They ended up at a snow bank and Cooper had tons of fun climbing all over it.
Cooper can hardly wait to sleep over at grandma and grandpas again. The following night at home Cooper told me that he didn't like his bed anymore. He declared it unfit for sleeping in. I told him he could sleep there or I would bring his crib up from the basement. He got quiet pretty quickly. Mean mommy that I am. I don't blame him. I would want to go spend the night at grandma and grandpas again too.
