Inauguration Day Cooper - Look papa, the Obama flag. Chris - Yeah Cooper, but that is the American Flag, not the Obama flag. Obama is an American and he loves America. But that isn't the Obama Flag it is the American Flag. Cooper - NO papa. It is the Obama Flag!
The Timeout Mama - Cooper were you naughty at school today. Cooper - Yes Mama - What did you do that was naughty today? Cooper - I got a time out! Mama - Why did you get a timeout? Cooper - Ms. A just gave me one! Mama - Why? Cooper - Because I didn't listen. Mama - What did you do? Why weren't you listening? Cooper - Ms. A JUST GAVE ME A TIMEOUT. I DIDN'T LISTEN!!! Mama - Cooper you need to listen to your teachers.. Cooper - Ms. A just gave me a timeout...
Music Class Mama - Cooper did you get a timeout today? Cooper - Yes Mama - Why? Cooper - I was sad. Mama - Why? Cooper - Because I got a timeout. Mama - What made you sad. Cooper - Ms C. Mama - What happened? Cooper - I have an idea Mama. Mama - What is it Cooper? Cooper - We should give Ms. C a timeout.
Go ahead and ask. Why did Cooper get the time outs? Cooper got a timeout last Friday for spilling milk at lunch. Innocent enough right??? Yes, right up until you hear that he was spilling the other kids milk at lunch. Just knocking it over. He and his buddy decided that was loads of fun. Chris and I knew that he had been a terror when his teacher, "Ms. A" said that Cooper alone was ok and his buddy alone was ok, but when they got together she just wanted to put them in a closet. (I think I would have if I were her). And why did Cooper get a timeout in Music Class?? They were playing with scarves that day and moving them to the music. Cooper wanted the green scarf but he got an orange one. I guess the little details make one heck of a difference to a little guy. He kind of lost his mind and wouldn't stop yelling "I need MAMA! MAMA! MAMA!" They finally had to give him some alone time to calm down and I guess he decided after all of that the best thing was for the music teacher to get a timeout.
